Reconstructive Procedures
Reconstructive procedures are used to rebuild or
reconstruct facial areas resulting from trauma, birth
or growth disfigurement, or disfigurement following
cancer surgery.
Post traumatic/oncologic - Unfortunate facial deformities occurring from accidents or cancer surgery can often be corrected by a simple revision or an extensive replacement of bone, skin or muscle.
Orthognathic/craniofacial - Surgery can correct the improper positioning or sizing of facial bones, resulting in a more balanced appearance. Likewise, a cleft lip can be corrected for normal facial contours and function.
Implant reconstruction-This procedure provides a
permanent tooth replacement in situations where a
tooth may have been lost due to removal or decay. A
titanium cylinder is attached to the bone and a crown
is affixed to the cylinder.
